OT (Occupational Therapy) provides practical support to help children recover and overcome the barriers in their daily life activities. Occupational Therapy sessions can make a child independent and confident in life. An occupational therapy expert evaluates the child’s condition to know what kind of difficulties are there with the child, like sensory, gross, or fine motor skills. Based on the analysis, a goal is created for the child that can only be achieved via consistent intervention sessions. TSWT provides OT (Occupational Therapy) services by well-trained and experienced occupational therapists.
SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY:
Speech therapy is an intervention service that focuses on improving a child’s speech and abilities to understand and express language, including nonverbal language. Speech therapists assess and treat a person’s speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
A child failing to communicate in proper ways faces problems in everyday life and cannot interact with the environment, which results in frustration and non-fulfillment of the benefits of life. Our professional Speech and Language Therapist aided by our special educators helps a child, facing challenges in communication, in different ways and improves his quality of life.
BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY:
Behavioural therapy is focused on human behaviour and looks to eradicate unwanted or maladaptive behaviour. This form of therapy looks to identify and help change potentially self-destructive or unhealthy behaviours. Practitioners of behavioural therapy believe that behaviour is learned, and can, therefore, be unlearned via therapy.
DANCE AND MOVEMENT THERAPY:
Dance/movement therapy or DMT can help people with physical health by increasing strength, improving flexibility, decreasing muscle tension, and boosting coordination. It can also offer important mental health benefits including stress reduction and even symptom relief from conditions such as anxiety and depression. Movement can be functional, communicative, developmental, and expressive. Dance/movement therapists observe, assess, and intervene by looking at movement, through these lenses, as it emerges in the therapeutic relationship in the therapeutic session.
DRAMA THERAPY:
Drama therapy is a type of therapy that uses theatrical techniques and concepts to bring about meaningful change. It gives clients a way to express their feelings, interact with others, and rehearse healthy behaviors.
PLAY THERAPY:
Play therapy is a form of psychotherapy and can be effective in helping children through emotional and mental issues. Play therapy is primarily used with children. Although, it can also be used with adults. A play therapist will guide a person through play therapy in a free and safe environment where they feel most comfortable expressing themselves. Play therapists use play activities a child might enjoy from painting to dancing to board games. At times play therapist will ask other family members or parents and guardians to also get involved in the playtime activities.
Every year we do organize annual sports and incorporate different activities like kicking the ball, hitting the wicket, relay races, musical chairs, and many more.
GROUP THERAPY:
Because kids still need to learn how to communicate and effectively express themselves, it connects children with peers for socialization, turn-taking, empathy, play, and to spend fun time with each other.
ART THERAPY:
Art therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses the creative process of making art to express themselves freely on their own terms and helps to improve communication and to express emotions and feelings that they are unable to put into words.
