SUPPORT TO PARENTS
A child when diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder or related developmental delays has an unnerving impact on the family members. Parents struggle to accept and eventually learn everything they can about autism as quickly as possible, forced to make major decisions with far from perfect knowledge while navigating complex education and healthcare administrations. They need to spend a lot of time helping the child get the support they need. This can be very stressful and exhausting and may lead to their clinical depression. TSWT understands this need of keeping parents and family members in a balanced mental state. It is essential that parents should take care of their mental health and therefore aims at parental involvement as much as possible. Every year we organize an outing and incorporate various fun activities and outdoor games for amusement and refreshment. Also, it is very important to spread the right awareness among them and to make them understand how to create a support system for their children. We do offer:
- WORKSHOPS FOR PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS
- PARENTAL COUNSELLING
- STRESS MANAGEMENT FOR PARENTS
- PARENT’S RECREATION AND AMUSEMENT
- PICNIC & OUTING
